All about Kayla

Our newest arrival was born Aug 9th, 2008 at 9:57 am via scheduled c-section, which I highly recommend. She was 7 pounds 9 ounces and 20 inches. You could tell right away there was a lot of strawberry to her strawberry blonde hair. Daddy stayed at home with Blake and Lauren and they kept him busy back and forth to the hospital to see their new sister. It was a fight the minute they walked in the door over who would hold her first. Over the past couple of months she has amazed us with hints of smiles starting at 2 weeks and full smiles at 4 weeks. We even got a couple of chuckles at 6 weeks, I think she will have a sunny disposition. Hmm, wonder who that comes from! : )

Trying it out!

Well, we are coasting along with our little Kayla, who is now 2 months old. Unfortunately, she thinks that she cannot sleep unless Mommy is right next to her, so this weekend she is going to learn how to sleep alone. Don't worry, there will be no crying involved, just lots of long hours for me! I hate to teach them to sleep by themselves because I love them next to me. Blake and Lauren have been neglected long enough though, so it is back to whipping everybody and everything into shape!
